Doubting it...

I read with interest the article of a friend (Dr. Amer Al Sabaileh) under the title:
"Impeachment is precisely the remedy" (published in The Star -15/09/2008)
but I felt that the conclusion goes far beyond impeachment. The underlying thought and the basic bibliographical reference suggest physical punishment. Personally, for the state of things we are in, neither would I choose Machiavelli nor would I imply any therapeutic wonders based on the saudization of the public sphere. Very dubious results the guillotines brought. And the public sentiment in these days of fraud and deception at the stock markets (the local one included) is not/should not be enough of an excuse that permits any populist evocation of steaming and rightfully shed blood...
